Virtualization of 27 Machines (KGS S.A. Kluczewo Sugar Factory)

Client: Krajowa Grupa Spożywcza S.A., Branch “Cukrownia Kluczewo” in Stargard

The “Cukrownia Kluczewo” branch in Stargard certifies that ZW Automation Sp. z o.o. completed, in 2023, the upgrade of the Siemens PCS7 control system and the virtualization of 27 machines. The control system’s operator layer consisted of four redundant process servers and twenty-five operator stations.

The project scope included the following works:

• Implementation of a virtualization cluster based on Dell host servers and VMware virtualization platform,
• Upgrade of the PCS7 control system with migration to a virtual environment,
• Implementation of cybersecurity mechanisms for the new system according to the manufacturer’s guidelines, including WSUS, OPC, and Terminal Server services,
• Modernization of communication networks.

The project was carried out professionally, on time, and in accordance with the agreed assumptions. The engineers from ZW Automation Sp. z o.o. demonstrated high competence, and all entrusted tasks were completed flawlessly.
