ZWA in the Siemens Solution Partners community: practice, technology, events
As a Siemens Solution Partner- certified company in the field of Automation Drives, we have been developing projects using SIMATIC PCS 7, ET 200SP HA, and SIMIT solutions for years. This certification not only formally confirms our competence but also provides access to current technologies, tools, and Siemens engineering support. It also opens the door to participation in industry events where knowledge and experience go hand in hand with the presentation of the latest products and solutions.
In June 2025, we had the opportunity to participate in two such events organized by Siemens: Digi@Industry 2025 and Process Automation Day 2025. Both showcased the practical dimensions of modern industrial automation and the direction in which the digitization of production processes is developing.
ZWA on Digi@Industry 2025 – automation and AI in industry
The first event, Digi@Industry 2025, took place in a unique space – the Copernicus Science Centre Planetarium in Warsaw. The meeting brought together industry practitioners, system integrators, and representatives from maintenance and IT departments. Issues related to the digital transformation of production were the focus:
- virtualization of control systems,
- AI-powered programming,
- cybersecurity in the OT environment,
- financing of digitization projects.
On-site, we were able to not only listen to lectures, but also test new solutions in practice, including augmented reality VR using Sony goggles and new products from the SIMATIC line.
It is worth emphasizing that Digi@Industry was not limited to technology – an equally important topic were the mechanisms for implementing innovations and ways of financing such investments in a safe way for companies.
ZWA on the Process Automation Day 2025 – the new generation of SIMATIC PCS neo
The second event was the Process Automation Day 2025 technical meeting, entirely dedicated to solutions from the SIMATIC PCS neo line. This is a particularly important topic for ZW Automation, as process automation projects are a permanent part of our portfolio.
SIMATIC PCS neo is a next-generation DCS control system based on cloud engineering, data transparency, and multi-user engineering. During the Siemens workshop, we were able to practically test, among other things:
- configuration of S7-410 systems with ET 200SP HA and ET 200iSP I/O islands,
- process simulation and testing with Digital Twin and SIMIT,
- integration of cybersecurity and alarm management,
- Assigning access levels in accordance with SIL3 requirements.
The greatest benefits we see for our projects at ZW Automation include the ability for design and service teams to collaborate in real time, system configuration directly from the browser, and ready-made application templates for the water and sewage industry.
PCS neo is a tool that allows you to look at process engineering from a new perspective: more flexible, modular and transparent.
