Genesis V11, Mitsubishi Electric, ZW Automation during “Digital Vectors of Development”

On October 8, 2025, the seventh edition of the conference “Digital Vectors of Development: AI, Cybersecurity, Automation” took place at Concordia Design Wrocław. The event, organized by the Polish-German Chamber of Industry and Commerce (AHK Poland), brought together representatives of technology companies, the industrial sector, financial institutions, and digital transformation experts to discuss the challenges and opportunities facing industry in the age of artificial intelligence. ZW Automation, together with Mitsubishi Electric, showcased solutions based on the GENESIS v11 SCADA system as exhibitors and speakers.

From Industry 4.0 to AI – a joint presentation by ZW Automation and Mitsubishi Electric

During the conference, ZW Automation and Mitsubishi Electric delivered a joint presentation titled “From Industry 4.0 to AI – first steps in a production plant.”
In the talk by Jarosław Szafran, Chief Operating Officer at ZW Automation, and Jakub Góra, Product Leader HMI & Software at Mitsubishi Electric FA Poland, participants learned about a real-life example of digital transformation in the food industry.

The speakers began by citing a warning from John Chambers, CEO of CISCO: “At least 40% of all companies will die in the next 10 years… if they don’t figure out how to change their entire company to accommodate new technologies.” This provocative yet accurate diagnosis became the starting point for discussing the state of Polish industry. As shown by the Global Industry 4.0 Survey, while 85% of companies understand the benefits of Industry 4.0, only 10-15% have a well-defined implementation strategy.

The answer to these challenges is the KAI ZEN philosophy (Change=Good) and the “small steps” approach – starting the transformation with simple, achievable tasks. The presented case study demonstrated how, in just 12 weeks of work by two engineers, using SCADA GENESIS v10 and Mitsubishi Electric equipment, a comprehensive system was implemented covering data collection, advanced visualization, and complete analysis of production processes.

Based on project experience, the presentation showed how to progress step by step from advanced process visualization to using data for production prediction and optimization. Tangible transformation results were also presented: from complete utilities and raw materials analysis, through waste reduction, to unplanned savings – reduced paper and ink consumption. The speakers emphasized that the achieved goals – flexibility, scalability, connectivity, and system integration – provide a solid foundation for the next stage: implementing artificial intelligence for process optimization, predictive maintenance, and production quality improvement.

GENESIS v11 – intelligent process visualization and control

During the presentation and at the exhibition booth, the latest version of the GENESIS v11 SCADA system, developed by Mitsubishi Electric Iconics Digital Solutions, was also showcased.
It’s a comprehensive platform for visualization, analytics, and data integration that supports companies in their digital growth — from local applications to multi-plant enterprise systems.

As an integrator experienced in the food and process industries, ZW Automation implements both GENESIS v10 systems and migrations to v11, providing full user training and adapting applications to individual production processes.

Key benefits of implementing GENESIS:

  • advanced 3D visualization and intuitive operator screens,

  • full data analysis and media consumption monitoring,

  • open API and wide integration with MES and PLC systems,

  • optimized work time and faster reporting,

  • increased flexibility and production scalability.

Joint booth of ZW Automation and Mitsubishi Electric and inspiring conversations not only about SCADA GENESIS v11

In the networking area, ZW Automation and Mitsubishi Electric jointly presented an interactive demo station, where participants could discuss practical aspects of automation, SCADA systems, and AI solutions. The event also fostered valuable exchanges with representatives from industry, academia, and business institutions.

One of the key discussion topics was the e-Factory Information Center system – a modular MES (Manufacturing Execution System) solution from Mitsubishi Electric, designed as a comprehensive tool supporting Industry 4.0 implementation. The system features an open, easily scalable “All in One” architecture that enables companies to begin their digital transformation at any stage of development and adapt functionality to evolving business requirements.

e-Factory Information Center monitors production in real-time, measuring over 20 key performance indicators – from downtime and production volume, through energy consumption, to OEE (Overall Equipment Effectiveness). Thanks to its modular design, the system processes data from production lines and presents it in a format that facilitates rapid decision-making. Compatibility with Mitsubishi Electric devices as well as other manufacturers’ equipment means it can be deployed in facilities with diverse production profiles.

The eco-monitoring function offers particular value, enabling precise measurement of process energy efficiency, identification of losses, and optimization of energy consumption – benefiting not only the company’s bottom line but also the natural environment.

— “Our shared booth gave us a space to talk not only about technology, but also about building partnerships. This is where future projects are born.” — summarized Jarosław Szafran, Chief Operating Officer at ZW Automation.
