ZW Automation Receives Forbes Diamonds 2026 Title Again
ZW Automation once again among the fastest-growing companies in Poland. In this year’s Forbes Diamonds 2026 rankings, we secured a strong 56th place out of 633 enterprises from Lower Silesia. Despite record-breaking competition and market challenges debated at the awards ceremony in Wrocław, our strategy built on innovation and automation enabled us to improve on last year’s result. The statuette for the consistent building of company value was accepted by the CEO, Maciej Włodarczyk.
ZW Automation among an elite group
The Wrocław gathering of business leaders at the Haston City Hotel brought us an important confirmation: ZW Automation is maintaining its growth momentum. In this year’s Forbes Diamonds 2026 rankings, we placed 56th out of 633 companies from Lower Silesia in the PLN 5–50 million revenue category. The result is all the more impressive given that regional competition has grown significantly — last year, only 478 entities were classified in the same category. Despite the increased competition, our operational efficiency allowed us to climb to a higher position. The fact that we are being recognised again — having only become formally eligible a year ago due to the company’s age — speaks to our operational excellence.
“For us, this ranking is not just a statuette — it is a genuine audit of the company’s health. In an era of ‘multi-crisis’, discussed at the ceremony, we are investing in automation, because it is what enables the transition from a low-cost labour model to a high-technology model” — says CEO Maciej Włodarczyk, who accepted the award.
How were the Forbes Diamonds 2026 calculated, and what does it mean?
Making the list required passing through a rigorous assessment by the business intelligence agency Dun & Bradstreet Poland. Results from 2020–2024 were taken into account, applying the so-called Swiss method. This is a compelling approach, as it combines asset valuation with profitability, thereby rewarding companies that invest in know-how and state-of-the-art equipment, rather than merely accumulating capital. A positive financial result and a high partnership safety rating are also evaluated. To receive Forbes Diamonds 2026, we were required to demonstrate, among other things:
- a positive financial result and strong current liquidity,
- no outstanding liabilities to contractors,
- value growth of at least 10% year-on-year.
Automation as a response to “black swans” and Forbes Diamonds 2026
The ceremony in Wrocław devoted considerable attention to the new market realities. Today, the only path to market leadership lies in investing in innovation and process optimisation. At ZW Automation, we design solutions that align with this trend. As noted in the panel discussion, we are living in an era of “black swans” — unforeseen disruptions that reward companies prepared for change. Forbes Diamonds 2026 go to those who, rather than waiting for stability to return, build their own resilience through technology. Lower Silesia, as the industrial heartland of Poland, is the ideal setting for this.
The competition is organised by Forbes Polska (Ringier Axel Springer Polska sp. z o.o.), with ING Bank Śląski as strategic partner.
