ZW Automation at the 2025 Company Run – together on the route with a clear goal
It was a day filled not only with sporting excitement, but above all, with shared motivation to work towards an important goal. The Corporate Run is an event that combines physical activity with the idea of giving back – all proceeds from the starter kits go to children with disabilities who, under the guidance of the Everest Foundation, overcome their own challenges every day. It’s a 5×5 km relay race, organized in two stages – in-person and remote – supporting 19 young heroes this year. We were a part of this initiative!
On Saturday morning, we arrived promptly at the Olympic Stadium complex. Three teams—15 people, almost half our entire company. We collected our relay baton, found our transition zone, and reviewed our order of competitors. The weather was perfect—a bit of sunshine, a light breeze—just the right amount to give it our all!
When the first runners reached the starting line, excitement was high. Moments later, we were off – 5 kilometers apiece, one goal . The route led through the picturesque areas around the Olympic Stadium, the Zalesie housing estate, and along the Odra River Flood Canal. The loop ended beneath the impressive treeline of Ludomir Różycki Avenue. Passing the baton to the next runners went smoothly. At the finish line, we received not only a well-deserved rest but also medals. Each participant could engrave their individual result – a symbolic memento of the day. After the race, we summarized the results, took group photos, and celebrated what we had achieved as a team.
And there’s something to be proud of! Our fastest team – “Fast ZWA” – took 32nd place out of 1,589 registered teams, finishing the 25 km race in just 1:48:20! This is an excellent result and proof that #ZWA can combine technical competence with fitness and athleticism. We prepared for the race, not just mentally, well in advance – for several weeks, mobilizing ourselves with regular training. Several of us set ambitious goals and were determined to achieve a personal best. The effort paid off.
The Corporate Run is more than just a sport. It’s a form of activity that fosters teamwork, promotes a healthy lifestyle, raises awareness of social issues, and provides real support to those in need. Since the event’s inception, the Everest Foundation has donated over 3 million pln for children’s treatment and rehabilitation.
We’d like to thank everyone who got involved – both those who ran and those who cheered us on. We’re thrilled to have been a part of this initiative, and we already know we’ll be running again next year – even faster, with even bigger numbers!
