Supporting young talents as the key to success at the Odyssey of the Mind World Finals in the USA

At ZW Automation, we firmly believe that advanced technology goes hand in hand with human imagination. Innovation thrives where we can step outside established patterns. When the students from Lubin faced the massive logistical and financial challenge of traveling across the ocean, we decided to help them achieve this “epic” dream. Our initiatives and supporting young talents allowed the young Masters of Creativity to safely reach Iowa State University in Ames, where they proudly represented Poland in our company colors.

How creativity connects automation and supporting young talents

Odyssey of the Mind is a unique educational program under the patronage of the Polish Ministry of National Education, which teaches critical thinking and independent problem-solving. This year, nearly 300 teams participated in the Polish national finals. The team from Lubin achieved a spectacular success, winning 1st place in problem 3 of the 3rd age division, which earned them their spot in the USA.

Through this program, Odyssauts learn to dream boldly based on goals, and to think independently and outside the box. They create solutions that are both original and impactful. These young minds are encouraged to operate in a spirit of innovation, breaking routines, and staying open to the opinions of others. The challenges they face require combining knowledge with imagination, science with art, and hands with minds.

“Seeing the immense passion, unconventional approach, and determination of these young people, we immediately felt we were on the same wavelength. Success in the USA: the tangible impact of commitment to supporting young talents

Tens of thousands of participants from all over the world took part in the World Finals in the US. The representatives from the Social Primary School in Lubin fought hard to secure a magnificent 6th place in the world in their category!

This is a phenomenal result, proving that Polish youth can successfully compete on the global stage. We are pleased that, as partners, we could partially contribute to this success. Huge congratulations to the entire team, the school management, and the coordinators!
