New tool, better project management – we are implementing the IC Project system

At ZW Automation, we have been implementing industrial automation projects for years —from initial concept and design, through control cabinet prefabrication, to commissioning, modernization, and servicing of completed installations. As a team of approximately 30 people, including experienced engineers, designers, automation specialists, sales representatives, and technical office specialists, we coordinate numerous parallel tasks and projects every day, requiring close interdepartmental collaboration and attention to detail.

Our work encompasses more than just technical activities; above all, it involves managing complex processes that require excellent organization, transparency, and flexibility. That’s why we decided to implement the IC Project system —a tool that will allow us to plan our activities even more effectively and respond to changing project needs.

What drove our decision was, above all, the ability to precisely adapt the system to the individual needs of projects and the specific workflows of individual departments . Our teams need real support in planning and execution—from the preparation of design documentation, through assembly work, to final commissioning and technical acceptance. We hope that the tool will also help us better utilize resources, control deadlines , and streamline the flow of information and documents .

Features such as:

• the ability to assign tasks to specific people and departments,
• project schedules and clear visualization of stages (e.g. in the form of Gantt charts or Kanban boards),
• control of team work time and recording of task completion (timesheets),
• access to a common repository of technical documentation.

We began the IC Project implementation with in-person training for our team, conducted by an expert from the implementing company. We also utilize available webinars and tutorials to facilitate further familiarization with the tool. Another advantage is that the system is available in Polish, which facilitates its implementation and daily use across teams with varying profiles and skill sets.

We believe that IC Project will support our continued growth and improve the quality of project management within our company. This is another step towards building an efficient organization that combines engineering precision with a modern approach to management.
