Energy efficiency in industry as a main focus of the ENPP 2026 conference
Advanced digitalization and modern drive systems are currently the pillars upon which we build our systems at ZW Automation. However, the challenges of today’s market require a continuous dialogue with Polish academia. These development paths and innovative technological solutions were the main topics of the 8th edition of the national scientific and technical conference ENPP 2026, attended by our Chief Technology Officer, Sebastian Rakoczy.
How energy efficiency in industry bridges the gap between science and business
The event, organized in the picturesque Kamień Śląski, has proven for years that close cooperation between academia and the business sector is essential for precisely defining the challenges facing modern manufacturing. During the sessions and networking discussions, particular attention was paid to the automation and digitalization of production processes.
“Theory at the university, practice in the industry? In my opinion, combining them yields the best results. A dialogue between academia and business is essential for defining the technological challenges we face” – emphasizes Sebastian Rakoczy, CTO at ZW Automation.
A key point of the discussions was the integration of advanced drive systems with renewable energy sources and modern storage systems, which directly translates into real savings and sustainable development.
Young talents and energy efficiency in industry
The program of the ENPP 2026 conference also demonstrated the immense potential within the younger generation of engineers. Student research groups representing leading national universities, such as Wrocław University of Science and Technology, Opole University of Technology, and Lodz University of Technology, had a very strong and distinct voice during the panels.
The innovative research projects in automation and robotics presented by the students prove that the future of process automation is heading in an excellent direction, and the developed solutions will soon find application in real manufacturing conditions. We would like to thank the organizers and all participants for the inspiring meetings and a shared space to develop the technologies of tomorrow.
