Bieg Firmowy Wrocław – ZWA teams at the starting line!
On Sunday, May 24th, a 15-member delegation from ZW Automation participated in the 14th edition of the Bieg Firmowy Wrocław. Three of our 5-person teams started in the first, morning heat of this charity relay at the Olympic Stadium. For our team, it was primarily an excellent opportunity for off-site integration, combined with a strong athletic focus and supporting the beneficiaries of the Everest Foundation.

This event has become a permanent fixture in our corporate calendar. This year, we stood at the starting line divided into three teams with varying levels of advancement: “ZWA Sprinciarze”, “ZWA Lekko-pół-szybcy”, and “ZWA Byle dobiec”. Each participant had to cover a distance of 5 km, passing the relay baton to the next person in the transition zone. The route ran through the University of Physical Education grounds, Wrocław’s Zalesie district, and the embankments along the Flood Canal.
In addition to spending time together, the charitable goal – helping children facing severe health challenges – provided an extra motivator to run fast.
“Knowing that every step we took on the track directly translated into support for the beneficiaries of the Everest Foundation gave us strength in the final meters. When you run knowing that you are helping, it is easier to forget about fatigue,” recalls one of our automation engineers who took part in the relay.
Great results and marathon form of ZW Automation
Although having fun was key, athletic ambitions made themselves known. Our fastest line-up, “ZWA Sprinciarze”, took a fantastic 35th place out of as many as 1095 teams competing in this heat of the event. The team covered the total distance of 25 km in a combined time of 01:54:43.
It is worth highlighting that the core of this team consisted of employees who had completed a full marathon in Paris just a month earlier. Their peak form was maintained on the Wrocław track, which is also confirmed by the result of our individual leader – ZWA’s fastest runner completed his 5 km in 20:07.
Huge congratulations are also due to the remaining teams, who fought bravely for every second, showing a great spirit of cooperation. Another Bieg Firmowy Wrocław proved that we can sync up perfectly not only when executing demanding engineering projects but also on the running track. Thank you to the entire group of fifteen for actively representing the ZWA colors!
