AUTOMA 2025 – ZWA at the center of digitalization and automation of the Oil & Gas sector

Two days in Amsterdam proved that the Oil & Gas industry is increasingly embracing the potential of automation, robotics, and digital technologies, and that ZW Automation is among the companies actively shaping this transformation. Accepting the invitation to participate in this event was an important step – it enabled us to exchange experiences with industry leaders, explore the latest technology trends, and confirm that ZW Automation is fully prepared to deliver projects across international markets.

AUTOMA 2025 – Automation and Digitalisation Congress for the Oil & Gas Industry, organised by BGS Group LLC, brought together energy leaders from across Europe: representatives of refineries, LNG infrastructure operators, EPC contractors, and technology providers driving the digital transformation of the energy sector. Maciej Włodarczyk (CEO) and Jarosław Szafran (COO) attended the event, representing ZW Automation as a system integrator that combines engineering precision with a vision of the industry of the future.

European Hub for Knowledge Exchange

Held on 13–14 October 2025, the congress featured numerous presentations and panel discussions focused on industrial process automation, digital twins, and the use of VR and AI in operator training and plant optimisation. We were particularly interested in the presentation by Tomasz Jarmicki from ORLEN S.A., titled “Virtual Reality (VR) tool for LNG fueling for smart and sustainable practices”, which demonstrated how virtual reality can effectively support operational safety and skills development in the energy sector.

In networking sessions, we met with representatives of ARAMCO, Shell, Repsol, Saipem, Fluor Corporation, ORLEN S.A., and Rafineria Gdańska, as well as with providers of advanced IT and Digital Twin solutions such as Assai Software, Capnor Poland, and Ascento. A common theme throughout these discussions was the need for data integration, process efficiency, and automation, while maintaining the highest safety standards.

Technologies Transforming the Industry

AUTOMA 2025 showcased the growing impact of innovation in the energy sector – from digital documentation systems and 3D plant visualisation, to robots and drones used for inspection, cleaning, and monitoring of industrial infrastructure. These technologies perfectly align with the direction that ZW Automation has been pursuing for years – integrating process automation with digital tools for monitoring and analysis to enhance the safety, predictability, and flexibility of control systems.

Networking, Inspiration, and a Symbolic Accent

The event also offered less formal moments – the evening dinner at the Great Church Alkmaar provided an inspiring setting for open conversations, and the prize draw brought a symbolic ending: our CEO returned to Poland with a drone, a fitting reminder of two days spent discussing automation, inspection, and digitalisation.

AUTOMA 2025 reaffirmed that ZW Automation has both the ambition and capability to successfully deliver projects across Europe.
With strong expertise in process automation, control systems, and digital integration, we are ready to support the energy transition – from LNG terminals to complex industrial installations.

Secure the process – gain full control.
Together, we drive the industry of the future.
